Fluid Dynamics

Fluid dynamics usually deals with flows (e.g., air or water) in or around a structure and the resultant forces acting on it. A well-known example is the flow around an aircraft wing generating lift and drag. But even for structures without an aerodynamic shape, such as buildings or bridges, the fluid dynamic (wind) loads are of interest.
